What’s missing from the conversation, why we need to address shame and stigma, and what we should be aiming for when it comes to tackling loneliness.

 

Tessa Blencowe is an independent digital storyteller and filmmaker. She is the co-founder of London is Lonely, an immersive exhibition composed of photographs and audio stories of loneliness in London. She has exhibited at the London Conference, the Great Get Together and at numerous public and private spaces across London. In 2018 she was invited to the London Mayor’s Office alongside AgeUK and Samaritans to share her knowledge and expertise on loneliness to influence policy making in the UK. Her stories have been featured on BBC 4’s Woman's Hour and she has been published in Stylist Magazine and The Independent.
