While we are all stuck at home, i'm sure many of us are binge watching movies and TV shows on Netflix and the like. Why not connect together and create a movie chat where we can talk about our favourite movies or maybe even hear about some movies or TV shows that are worth watching.

Staying connected while in isolation. We could run a stay at home trivia night where a host live streams a trivia quiz for whoever wants to join in and play. The live stream could be done over Facebook Live and friends and family can get together over Zoom, Skype or Whats App calls to stay connected and talk amongst themselves while playing. One person from each team is in charge of writing the answers down on the answer sheet and then submitting it to the host for marking. A bit of friendly...

There's many great chefs and cooks in the Salvos. Can we seek them out and get them to run online cooking classes while everyone is stuck at home? We could have themes, ie: Asian cooking, Vegetarian cooking, Indian cooking, etc. We could have regular podcasts where people tune-in each week. Perhaps we could have a voting system where we vote for the meal we most want to see prepared? Perhaps the presenter could prepare the meal with her-or-his family. I'd be interested in other people's...

At this time of COVID 19 physical distancing some in the community don't have the internet data to stay connected to family and friends or download educational or social resources. Some might appreciate being able to see a funeral or church service on line but dont have enough internet data capacity. Can we coordinate Salvos or others in the community who may volunteer through the local Corps be willing to offer their WIFI range from their driveways or outside their homes to others?...

There is an outreach concept called treasure hunting, where you get together with someone, pray together and ask God to give you Names, colours, signs, places, and issues, pain that a particular person might be experiencing and even strange things. You write them down and God leads you to people on the street. What if we did that by phone or social media. Ring someone that God has given you the name of, check their facebook page and see if the colours matchup then ring and tell them God has...

Among the Youth Services team here in WA we are looking at as many interactive ways to engage with the young people that we already work with. One such idea is an interactive life skill sessions i.e. a cooking lessons over Facebook Live using the ingredients and supplies we have delivered beforehand. We are also rolling out the attached phone questionnaire in order for the young people’s feedback to shape our engagement moving forward. However I have some questions in order to expand our...

Our team has created a Spotify playlist just for our team. Everyone is invited to add to the list and we have seen it stimulate conversation in our Whatsapp group as we discuss different tastes in music, have a good laugh at some songs and discover new songs we didn't know we loved! It's almost like you're sitting in the office, chatting over music, like you would any other day.
