‘Into the Zone’ is a pioneering faith community that is culturally, theologically and spiritually congruent with a 21st century, progressive, global, multicultural and technological world. The beginnings of this community have already been trialed in Western Australia. The key features of this community will involve: Exploring 21st century ideas in the fields of theology, philosophy and Christian spirituality. A really good time of day to be viewing a program like Joy news hosted by patrons of saintly devotion would be at seven o'clock while other news television is filling up the air waves. A look at work in missions, People with heart serving god and accomplishing and tribes of people in daily existence doing as they do in a "story to share" kind of way and then I would really prefer to see acts of violence and injustice as a perpetrator and consequence way with Christians taking a step back...

What is the Swedish Bible Study Method? The idea is to choose a short Bible passage and review it by answering three basic questions which can be represented graphically, for example:  [light bulb] =  what draws your attention? [question mark] = what questions does it raise? [arrow] = how would you apply the passage?  Exponential growth with the Swedish method  Thousands of churches in northern India have been planted reportedly by asking this question as well:...

We need good people to mentor young drivers. Travelling one on one with a young person is a great opportunity to influence others. Perhaps they may even find a way to explore " new faith pathways" ? Effective mentoring takes trust & time. Young people need mentors...

We know the importance of music education in life. Music is important as part of our faith. Joshua and the isrealites marched around jericho and blew trumpets for the walls to fall down. King David wrote psalms, the angels sang to announce the birth of Jesus, Revelation describes what ultimate worship is when we are with Jesus.  We offer music tuition to all ages, kids and adults on instrument of choice, highly subisidized or free. We invite these students to play in our worship services...

Recently I participated in the Alpha course at my local Salvos. I had participated in Alpha around 20 years ago in another Salvos location but I wanted to revisit the course with my current life group.  The format of the gathering began with watching the weekly video on a specific faith topic, then sharing in a meal with others doing the course followed by discussion of the weekly topic in our small group, finishing with prayer. My idea is to deliver the Salvation Army membership...

Imagine an online platform for the Australian Salvo church where the community can easily explore faith outside of the typical model of a church gathering and engage with their local Salvo Corp. This is a solution that will provide a nation-wide presence and faith resource but importantly a unique way for the community to find, connect and go deeper in their faith using the resources of each local Corp. The online platform will include a website and an app for each Corp but the apps...

Over the next 3 years, the vision is to start 300 Breakfast Programs across schools in Australia. By flipping toasted cheese sandwiches and mobilising local mission volunteers, we could be engaging with hundreds of schools across the nation. Gather a small handful of volunteers, add some start up funds, start a conversation with a local school and launch a breakfast program! You'll mobilise young and old. You'll connect with staff and students. Kids will be eating breakfast. You'll create...

I would like to develop a team of professional experts that can be available in any area/region to train / mentor / support those working with youth and children in my work on Christ Centred Behaviour Management.  The essence of this work is that we need to learn set up our hearts to be responsive to the Holy Spirit when dealing with children who might be demonstrating unwanted behaviours. The 3 principles are: a) Be still and know that I am God (Ps 46:10) b) Adhere to the new...

I would love to see an App developed to help everyday Christians when they get together in small groups be able to have discussions with each other about how the Christian faith relates to real life.  I believe people want to know how Jesus relates to their life but often don’t know where to start. We could develop an app as a resource so that when two or three (or any number of) Christians come together they can be guided in discussing Jesus and life. Gatherings could be over coffee, in...
