Online preventative mental health events for socially isolated regional Victorian men and families

1. The social challenge presented by Covid-19 The impact of Covid-19 is sweeping through the community faster than many imagined or anticipated. The resulting government actions of self-isolation and quarantine mean the most socially and geographically isolated people will be at increased risk during a time of mass financial stress and interpersonal pressure. Salvos Online

The Salvation Army was once known for its open-air services, however as society changed, so too has the idea of an open-air service. A lot of people today prefer to spend most of their time on social media (EG: Facebook). This idea is about supplementing the concept of an open-air with online streaming of church services & events into an area where people spend their time.

Musician sharing

Perhaps we could have a list of musicians who are available to use their musical gifts to help our smaller corps from time to time who don’t have musicians. We could especially use people that are in large corps who have to be closed due to the corona virus, maybe we could even offer to pay professional musicians who are struggling at this time

A more positive tone and try to get the people chatting online for help to open up more and have the...

They could be cheap cartons such as Visy cartons or cheap bins installed - flat pack delivered in every property. Or we could just have signage and ask each centre to set up the hubs with a uniform plan. This is furniture but also a critical witness to our faith.  They can be made available for purchase by expressions...
